Hightech Agenda @ Work: CARE-O-SENE project presented during State Secretary visit to HZB 

On August 12, HZB welcomed the BMFTR State Secretary Dr Rolf-Dieter Jungk, accompanied by Andrea Fischer, Senior Ministerial Adviser and Head of the Subdepartment for Large-Scale Research Facilities and Fundamental Research at BMFTR, who visited HZB and the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) at the Berlin-Adlershof science campus. The visit showcased how the Hightech Agenda Germany is being translated into practice through excellent research, advanced infrastructure, industrial collaboration and technology transfer.

A particular highlight was the presentation of CARE-O-SENE, where Tobias presented the project, emphasizing that CARE-O-SENE combines scientific excellence, advanced research infrastructure, strong industrial participation and German–South African cooperation, contributing to more efficient and scalable green-kerosene production, reducing the risks associated with industrial deployment and supporting the development of competitive Power-to-Liquid technologies. CARE-O-SENE therefore provides a strong example of how collaborative research can advance technology transfer, sustainable aviation and the objectives of the Hightech Agenda Germany.
